I know you are asking about shops in Beds but if you consider going online to shop have a look at the boots & chaps (unbelievable prices) on unicornleather.co.uk I got a pair of Ariats on there that are £90 elsewhere for £45 !
The long boots are Lovesons going for £14.99 !

Try GJWTitmuss at Wheathampstead, Herts. They have a web site and the shop has a huge stock. Well worth travelling a bit further.
