Can anyone recommend any?

I bought some Mountain Horse High Rider boots last year, but they were far too big around the calf, looked like I was wearing my Oh's boots LOL!

I dont want anything too dainty as I dont clean anything LOL, I just hose the mud off, but I need something that is nice enough for shows.
I really like the mountain horse sportive rider I think its called, as the sole looks quite substantial, but am worried about the calf thing again.

Budget up to £150

Cavallo - get some second hand ones from ebay, or any with laces up the front...

I have got Ariat boots for around the yard they have got laces up the sides and my narrow leg fitting fits me perfectly!

I'm already annoyed that you've got skinny legs!!!

I had the same problem with the mountain horse boots and my legs are certainly not skinny. I managed to get a saddler to take them in for me because they've got a fabricky bit between the zip and the leather. Mine are the old MH high riders though.

I have been admiring those for a while now, I alreday have Tuffa Suffolks for around the yard, and need some 'posh' boots, but the grassmeres are just gorgeous.

what are they like to ride in?

I have the Grasmeres too and looooove them! Great for my skinny legs (I also took a size 5 and a half instead of my normal 6) they're so cosy, but not too warm. So for I've only used them while hacking, not in a lesson but had no problem with hacking. I also wear them for walknig out over the fields with my dogs and could wear them all day. I make sure to give them a good clean when they get muddy and use leather stuff on them.

I have the same problem, but I also find most long boots a little to long for me and end up walking with straight legs. I was considering trying out some of the larger kiddie sizes - will post the results if I ever get round to it.

I wish it was my belly and bum that was skinny, my dad calls me chicken drumstick because my legs are substantial at the top but so skinny from the knee down, you can always count on your family to be kind and supportive.

OH wears Sergio Grasso's - width HE (High and Narrow) as he is 6ft and skinny but only has a size 7 foot - the amount of boots he tried on was stupid - I did suggest a fat suit at one point!

Only jealous as I definitely don't have the same problem!

I'm glad someone posted this, I have size 7 or 8 feet and am tall with skinny legs! Me thinks I may have to get some made to measure, any recommendations for this and how much, otherwise I shall be trapesing round everywhere!!

Grasmeres only have one fitting but due to the side laces they fit any leg width. I get soo many compliments about mine as well.

My grassmeres are narrow legged?

It says it on the box?

I've got slim legs and my long leather boots are Regali Richi (sp) which are lovely, i use them for everyday riding and shows.

For around the yard and winter riding i've got muck boots.
