Has anyone spotted a decent long riding coat in the sales? I'm looking for one, but haven't found much. I'd rather not have wax as they are so heavy.

Not seen any in the sales but I would recommend the Harry Hall long riding coat.

Best ones are the older ones - you quite often see the come up on ebay -the cotton waterproof one as opposed to the nylon one. I have both but prefer the cotton one

The body is padded on both so they are very warm

I had a Shannon that died long ago, but MT don't make them anymore. I love, love, love my old, nearly dead Musto Suffolk (which I actually bought before the Shannon), but they don't make them anymore! Grrrrrr! I can't find a long Harry Hall, so I assume that's discontinued too?

I've been looking at the Target Dry Outback - does anyone have one? Is it any good?

Possibly - just had a look myself and can't find one.

A friend has a bronte that has lasted years - cant find one of those either

Why do they always stop making the good stuff and leave us with the dross?
