Long shot any one looking for a companion pony in the south west

I Really need to find my boy a home as me and my other half are buying our first home and are moving to far from where is kept now have spent last week on the phone calling livery yards ect and its going to cost to much to keep both the boys on livery and as he cant be ridden he could do with being turned to grass, I have rang blue cross ect as he can no longer be ridden but they are all full till aleast march if any one knows of or is looking for a companion can you let me no

why can't he be ridden, as i'm sure you posted pics a couple of weeks ago of you riding him

i was riding him but he bucked me off and i got his back ect looked at back lady said not to ride him as he had a old back injury and he will never be happy under saddle

tried horse world yea was about a mth ago alot has changed that i didnt expect to

I think you are asking a lot for someone to take on a companion that can't be ridden and has a liver problem with the associated vets costs in the present economic climate. There are already so many ponies up for loan/part loan/sell that the chances of someone decent taking him off your hands are pretty slim. If you knew that you were moving, and that's not something that's happened overnight, then why did you take on the pony in the first place? What about your other pony?

Has a vet actually seen him, a back person doesn't really have the qualifications to say he can never be ridden!

he had what we thought was sun burn when i got him blood test where done had slight raised liver enzymes and as we had no history at the time we didnt no what he had eaten the past blood test been re-done and all normal now. I took him in a mth ago before i new my situation was changing, Vet said hes not sure on back could do test ect but i cant afford them.
