I have had to retire Fabio 2 weeks ago as his shivers have made it unsafe to continue riding him. Now he's not in work he's not moving about as much as I want him to and if our lands too wet/boggy they have to stay in the turnout pen. It's 20x20 but not ideal for a horse that should be moving about.
I'm looking to find a shared larger field in one of the local villages for at least a few months so he can be actively moving and so I can check on him daily and have him still near so I don't worry!! I want him to have company though hence looking for the shared grazing. Don't need facilities, just big field with water. He's hardy and lives out fine rugged up. He's a friendly chap and currently out with another gelding and a Shetland mare so gets on with both.
If anyone knows of anything/someone who'd be willing to share please let me know.
