Where abouts are you based? I'm on the look out for a hay/haylage supplier if you know anyone (cheeky I know but it's getting .expensive buying teensy bales of haylage at £6.85 that don't last a day!)
I'm not-I'm buying the poxy little bales from Moulton Pet Store....They're ok until you're feeding ad lib to a 16.2hh and a pony, then it gets pretty expensive!
I'm not fussed whether it's hay or haylage, I had some lovely hay from whaplode st catherines, but he's run out now....
Has anybody got a schedule or the info for it. I've heard it's really good.
Would appreciate any info. It's the horse jumping I am interested if anybody knows the classes.
Thanks in advance!
Even though it's only about 2 miles from me, no way!
went 2 years ago, couldn't believe that they had the horsewalk between the arenas (and the only way to the far arena from the horseboxes!) right through the middle of the tradestands etc, people, kids, prams everywhere, nothing roped off for the horses. especially as there were youngsters, in-hand etc.
the fact that my mare got a bit freaked by it all and tried to whip round, and swung a bit close to a kid on a pony (she'd never kick though) and the kid's mum went ballistic at me, might have something to do with my cowardice though!
It's not a bad little local show TBH. I'm hoping to go just for a nosey, haven't done much with horses but may take dogs. My staffie won a first and second there 2 years ago. Don't forget there's the Crowland show next weekend too.
