Has anybody got any idea where I could buy a really long riding coat - you know the type of thing the military or mounted police wear that drapes over the horses bum. I thought I had found a company that makes them www.hackamac.co.uk but they seem to have gone out of business.

I have a hackamac and it is really good i am surprised they have gone out of business. I got mine from ebay maybe you could try there. The only thing i would say is that in the wind it does tend to lift off the horses bum so don’t use it on a spooky horse.

Thanks for the input. I don't want a Dryza-bone - I have a Musto which is similar. I really wanted one that would cover the saddle and bum - save using an exercise sheet. I saw an advert for a riding cape similar to the one the Swedish mounted police use but of course I've lost it.

Never mind, a good excuse to stay indoors when it's raining!
