So I volenteer for a Staffie rescue and I removed a wee girl from a ex druggies flat not abused as such but locked with 2 others in small kitchen , not walked, no bed to lie on and floor covered in pee and poo as dogs not getting out, and all dogs thin. So dogs needs just not met.

Anyway my job was to drive her to new home , unfortunately it's not worked out in her new home (not her fault may I add) and she was now looking for yet another home in less than 3 weeks.

Well I've talked my husband into letting us adopt her and I am collecting her tomorrow, I just want her to feel what it's like to have a full belly, long walks and sleep on a comfy a sofa or my bed. I'm so excited to be getting her. She will join our other rescue Staffie and our boxer dog.
OH said not more - 3 his limit. That's fair enough , I'd have 100 if he did not keep me in check, so many lost souls staffies out their dying for a home. Makes me so sad, any way I can't change the world but I can change this girls world.

This is her when I took her the 100 miles from the flat to what was her new home, she sat the whole journey like this, stiff as a board like a meer cat watching out the front window of my car, fascinated at the world like she had never been outside before

She melted my heart that's why I'm taking her

How cute is she..??

What a fantastic photo! She looks lovely&like she has lots of character too:) Good luck both of you,for your new start together:)

Oh what a sad/happy post. Poor little soul, how lucky for her that you collected her. How old is she? Her muzzle looks rather grey, but I'm hoping that's just the light and that you'll have a long happy time with her. Do let us know how you get on - and more piccies please :) Lots of luck, and pat on the back for nice hubby :D:D

She is 6 years old, I move about lots of staffies for them and do home checking etc but there was just something about this wee girl, the way she was amazed to be outside in the car etc

I doubt she has ever been on lovely long walks, to the beach etc and I can't wait to take her and see her excitement.

So well behaved too just sits waiting for you to tell her what to do.

Yes I will post some pics of her :D

I just hope my dogs except her, which I think they should. She a quiet wee soul.

Ludoctro, you and your OH are very special people to help dogs as you do. Even more so, for giving this poor little girl a wonderful forever home. I hope you get the chance to take a few photos as you open up the world to her! She'll think she's died and gone to heaven...

How wonderful of you to help her lead a normal life.

My parents have a staffie and when they booked him into kennels before going on holiday the staff said come and look at these two rescue staffy pups. They said the little girl would be hard to home as she's black and v small. The boy had found a home but not yet collected.

So of course it prayed on mums mind all holiday and yes you've guessed it she has now joined the family.

Yes she's v small but huge personality. If only people would give staffies a chance.

Wishing you a lot of fun and happiness with your new dog, who is doubtlessly going to have the best future ahead of her. Well done you, and I look forward to future pics of her on walks and happy times.

Look at her little face" where we going today then?"
She's a dainty little thing :)
Has she a name? Or have missed it.

Just to note that the law states that a dog should be suitably restrained in a car (i believe) and it could be argued sat on the front seat is not a restrained dog. Also should you have an accident and your airbags go off they could do some damage or fatal injury. Please be careful.

Thanks guys

Cassie is her name

On route again to home number 3 - this time though she won't be going anywhere :D

She is loving the dog hammock on our truck lol

Omg,that photo is even better! She is seriously cute:D But also has such a soulful,seen-some-things-in-my-life look to her face. She looks content to even just be where she is,in the car, trusting in you to take her a place she doesn't know but is just happy it's not where she was when you rescued her.)

Ha Ha that photo is fab, what a lovely girl she almost looks quite smug being in a great home :D

Is she small or the right size? A bitch bred to breed standard should not be over 14" at the shoulder. The most popular dog colours at Crufts both this year and last are blacks and reds!

I love the photo of Cassie. Judging from her nipples she may have had pups? She is a lucky girl and I love that photo of her. Are you involved with Stafford welfare ? That's whom I fund raise for. Also if you are on Facebook, have a look at the page Staffies with responsible owners. There are a lot of Staffie rescues and nutty owners on there, myself included!

However, you really do owe us a post of Cassie arriving......!

Hello yes cassie has been red from on more than one occasion unfortunately , typical unresponsible owner. Breeding to make a few bob.

Yes I am a volenteer for the Scottish Staffordshire bull terrier rescue.

Here is he with my other rescue Staffie and boxer

Think we need to buy another bed LOL

She has slotting in like she been here forever, found all three snoozing in bed with my husband this afternoon. :D

Must beat the cold pee and poop covered floor cassie used to sleep on, the dogs never even had a blanket to sleep on ,

I already have 4.5 (four of my own, and dog sit three or four times a week for my sister) so I can't take her. How lovely is she though?
