I don't know if I can, they do do finance, but my family's never been keen on anything they can't afford. I'm telling myself it's to get an idea of what money buys what, and what features are must-haves/would-be-nice/totally unnecessary....
I know what the 4 horse, brand new chassis, pop-out living lorry costs and I definately can't afford that! If this is under half the price I might have a LOT of wheedling to do to various parties
I've only ever had fairly shabby transport, this would be a quantum leap up the lorry ladder! Promise! Current lorry is very battered and highly unreliable....
I don't know, lorry prices seem to be more or less comparable, especially with the euro going the wrong way for us atm. I think there is more competition in the sector in England.
Couldn't it?! Which is an essential round these parts... I tell you what I am really keen on is an awning, I think it would be so useful, doesn't have to be like the Hoys', just an extra undercover area. OH saw Lehel's uber-posh lorry at Blenheim last year (the one that was so posh you weren't allowed inside it, only to look at the outside), and was bowled over by the special compartment for the bona fide Harley Davidson. If I find a lorry with a Harley inside he'll be a lot easier to convince!
Whatever I end up getting, you can guarentee if it's got a smart paint job one of the boys will manage to put paid to that in about 30 seconds. The current lorry has deep grooves gouged into it above the tie rings, once it was marked the horses lost interest in scraping their teeth on it
after getting rained on in our lorry at the weekend (stayed in it over night at The Hand, and it rained).. sending it back and forth to the garage etc... i found a fab looking lorry, ponsy paint job, nice enough living etc. in 'horse deals' on a V-reg.. £15k which i thought was serriously cheap for it... dad said out right no!! we can't aford it, and we don't need it... so next time i'll set up a tent in the lorry
Make him sleep in it! S won't even entertain the idea of sleeping in mine. He refuses to get on the luton - says it must be like being in a coffin - when I went to Portman last year by myself he insisted I stayed in a B&B otherwise I'd get pneumonia, I had to lie to him and say that I had!
Seriously, if you have to keep using that one, have you tried using some kind of sealant?
Rosie's lot borrow my pop-up garden gazebo thingy and kind of butt it up against the lorry when they stay away - apparently it works really well and acts as a dry area for dumping stuff. They said it was a godsend at Scope/PC champs etc when they were there for the best part of a week.
Lorry looks great - good luck with the wheedling
Hehe, remember that trip from suzy's to your yard, all of what 5 miles nd I managed to "move" that volvo and then we met that trailer with the hopeless driver?!
