Look who I've offered a home to ...

Oh my goodness, that's awful. At least there will be a happy ending to this though. I just don't get how anyone could let an animal get into such a state. I do love the name though! I remember years ago seeing an RSPCA programme that featured a kitten whose owners had accidently dropped oil from a chip pan on. This wee thing was so brave, it was covered in bandages and must have been in so much pain but he just wanted to play! He was called crispy :-). The owners didn't take him to a vet and it wasn't until a neighbour called the RSPCA that he was treated, 3 days later. They were too scared apparently to take him.

That other website just brings it home how horrible people can be. From kicking oldies out to make way for pups, treating them like breeding machines and then the usual neglect / cruelty cases it's just sickening.

I've seen dogs in this state several times, but there is just something about this little chap that made me think "I want"!!! My first cruelty case came from Bradford when I was training, and my second (my terrier who's with me now) was dumped in woods at 4 weeks old - so he is a combination of the two.

We may not have an ideal garden and stuff, but my dogs spend a lot of time at the horse with me, and we all go out on rides/treks together, plus like any "normal family" we all share a bedroom :p.

Just have to see what happens..:)

Dumped at 4 weeks? That is just so so awful. I really admire you for having been able to do that job. It must be so hard, but I would imagine also so rewarding. I reckon the 'ideal' home isn't necessarily the best anyway!! And what is an 'ideal' home anyway?! Only a dog would know I guess!!

Best of luck with your offer of a home I hope you get him :-)

I know it's a different type of the mite but I've had scabies myself (caught from bedsheets I believe in a hotel) and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I would have happily ripped my skin off where it was itching. I had horrible wheals all over me and the doctor was clueless as to why. Fortunately we had an old medical encyclopedia and I took it and showed them the page on scabies. The treatment worked quickly. Prior to that nothing relieved the itching. My poor Mum (I was about 15 at the time) was frantic as well. I dread to think what that poor Dog has been through :-(
