Well have seen horse I posted about earlier. I like him, 4 yrs, happy willing temp, 16.1Hh (full up compared to mine!!) Broken 2 months ago in Ireland, done nothing, sorry am rubbish and forgot the breeding!!!

He's quite rangy and very weak being only 4 but will look lovely with a top line and different horse with loads of TTC. Wobbly on flat, very green as you'd expect but they put him over 4ft

He made a couple of mistakes but didn't make them a second time. They then hacked him down a really really busy 60mph A road, and poor pony was bemused but calm. When I rode it (sorry he doesn't have a name) he was wobbly, had forgot what unschooled 4 year olds are like!! Jumped well and tried hard. Dealer wants 4k for him and said 2.5k - 3k for mine as he hasn't seen him yet (on phone), but I did show him photos competing. Thinking £1-1.5k and mine?? Taking my trainer and my horse over later in the week. Is this an ok deal or am i being robbed? Or is it too good to be true?

Fingers crossed then! Not my trainers cup of tea though I know that, will be interested to see what she makes of him! Thanks T_E for your reply.

Hi misskatherineb, no I'm rubbish and didn't think that far ahead! He's dark brown with white star, full up 16.1, rangy, neck set on quite high if you know what mean, fair amount of bone and large flat knees, huge ears kind eye, smallish neat head. (this is what struck me first). Hmm will take some photos thurs and *attempt* to post them

if you want a baby you can get one cheaper, or if you want to spend 4k you can get a better schooled horse. depends on what you want to do.

dont forget 4ft isnt that impressive to a horse they find it fairly easy,(even babies) its us that go "oh my god"!

dealers are good on the whole though, especialy if you cant sell your horse and need a p/ex.

Hi, yes, prefer a baby, not too worried re. schooling it as I love doing that myself. Wanted dealer as my horse has a few "issues" and didn't want any come back! Also, if horse doesn't suit can take it back. I think I was more surprised that they were jumping something just broken over that kind of fence that's all... no endless trotting poles and cross poles from trot! If you know what I mean. But i'm no show jumper so clearly it shows lol
