looking for a bright yellow dressage pad

A hi-viz one? I've been trying to find a hi-viz one for ages with no luck, so will be looking at this thread with interest. I bought one off e-bay and it was no good - hi-viz was fine but it was not really a pad just a thin cloth and not really good as a saddle pad.

I did find a really bright pink one. It's not advertised as hi-viz but it is very bright.

Never seen a bright yellow one TBH - I think I would buy a white one and dye it myself :D

Not seen Hi-Viz numnahs either - this shall be my task at Badders, to see if they are in existence!

If you go on to ebay, there's a super shop that sells HKM dressage pads in every colour under the rainbow. The HKM pads are the really decent quality German ones, with the diamond quilting on them, and she also does matching polo fleece bandages to go with them. I have four of her saddle cloths, the quality is superb.

The sellers name is "annadressur ", if you do a search you should come up with her items, and the shop is called horseheaven.

Not sure about price, but polypads do a high vis saddle pad.

Seen it advertised at Horse Requisites in newmarket. they have a website.

I would definitely recommend the HKM pads. I have one in lime green with matching bandages ;-) They do yellow, orange etc and are great quality!

Cheapest way is to dye one of your "not so white" old pads with a dylon dye. If you use one pack of dye (£5 ish) + the 500g of salt it will dye one cotton based saddle pad the full colour.

Worked a treat for my friend who is the proud owner of a "goldfish orange" pad to which I found matching bandages for :D

I just bought some violet dye to dye one of my fading pads !!

I know nothing about this product, but as for this shop words that have to do with barges and poles come to mind...

OOOOooooo, so many ideas. Not sure if I can get dylon stuff or clothes dye here in Cyprus but certainly the dusters lol!

It's pure vanity really, bought Jeffries polo bandages in bright yellow as they were very reduced so a real bargain, they look really good on my bright bay so now want the saddlecloth to match. I did get some light pink bandages free but not the same desire to match there...

Thanks v much for the info X

Ive just had a look in my HKM catalogue and yes theres quite a few bright yellow choices, retail from £15.95

I've bought their pads myself and the quality is very good, bear in mind the dressage size pad is huge however

Why - bought loads of stuff here and not had a problem? She's always been really nice and helpful and everything I have ordered has arrived really quickly. PM me if it's not suitable for the forum.

I have the HKM Gently numnah which is really nice and soft against the horses skin or there is a slightly cheaper model. They do a good range of colours too.

Dylons range do a Multi-Purpose Fabric Dye, the have 32 colours which are all inter-mixable and do a hi viz yellow and various other yellows and cream.
If you find a nice pad, budget price, then dye it yourself etc.

Just an idea.:)

How strange. I have dealt with this seller lots, and have had nothing but extremely quick and very friendly and helpful service. Maybe she didn't like your barge pole....?? LOL

Ive bought stuff from her as well and she was lovely.

But the gently, whats it like? I was concerned it might be slippy under saddle?

No - the inside is soft fleece so if anything less slippy than the top side. I like them because they're not so thick that they alter the saddle fit significantly like the polypads.

Now I've gone and looked and they have them on offer and I have to buy one in green for my GP saddle.

Just wanted to add that yesterday after posting on this thread I decided as they had them discounted I had to buy one of those numnahs i mentioned.
Ordered it and it arrived this morning. Green with gold piping and will look very smart on my bright bay.

I bought the yellow dressage pad from the suggested seller on ebay. It arrived really quickly and it looks fab, will try it out later in the week. Looooovely.

Thanks for your help! x

well, iv nothing but good things to report about maria/annadressur.....quality products and fast shipping, and she has ordered in some custom stuff for me too.

she is my first port of call for saddlecloths and bandages and i wouldnt hesitate to reccomend her!

Oh no, I've just seen a set in azure which I love! My boy isn't even broken for riding yet but I think they would look lovely on him. *must resist*!

Another one here who has bought numerous times from the above mentioned ebay seller - never had a problem with her, everything arrived quickly and well packed and she sourced me a sprenger weymouth from germany for a lot less than I could buy it here.:confused:
