Looking for a close contact saddle . . . any opinion on Saddles direct??

Hello

I am looking to have my mare fitted with a close contact saddle and after looking around the nearest to me (Leeds West Yorkshire) with a good stock of saddles is saddles direct.

I already have a jumping saddle which due to my horses change of shape no longer fits and has always been to small for me with a 16 1/2" seat! So want to part-ex

The fitter at saddles direct is claire smith

Has anybody used or bought from them or could recommend any other saddlery who maybe specialise re close contact? Or have any experience of her?

Do you mean Saddles Direct at Crowood who also operate online? If so, they're great. Very helpful and straightforward to deal with. I've only ever used them online but have found them very straightforward and knowledgeable too. Great range of saddles too which in my experience have always felt fairly priced.

I think they have a change of saddle fitter - went there on Sat and it was a man. He is there on a Friday and Sat. You ring to book an appt
