Does anyone fancy a bit of horse shopping? I am looking for the following having lost my boy earlier this year (I'm based on Cheshire/wales border):

Between 14.3 – 15.3hh
Aged 6 – 14 yrs
Middle/heavy weight
Nice upright neck – ‘something in front of you’
Bombproof on roads, with tractors etc
Must be fine hacking out alone
Must be able to live out 24/7 if necessary
Been there, done that
More kick along plod than forward going
Must have jumped a bit
Being good to load would be a bonus but not essential
Possibility of going barefoot at least back feet would be good
Not bothered about clipping
No warmbloods
Preferably a gelding but open to persuasion

Long list I know - but I'm hoping someone's frustratingly kick along plod would be my dream horse...

Any help gratefully received... x

This lad sounds lovely http://www.adhorse.co.uk/horseforsale_48926.html

Ahhh you are describing Mums horse who is now out on Loan very happily.

Literally ticks off the list and then some...

But she is a big boot-i-ful girly ;-)

Might be worth looking through some Section D stud's as "some times" take back horses they have sold...

My cousin "gave back" her lovely lad as the stud wanted fist refusal.

That way you know history and may have a ready made one for you

lol, this could come back and slap you in the face one day, better to look for a nice lenght of rein.

Plenty about you should be spoilt for choice!

Thanks all, and I have to agree ImmyS that he sounds lovely - might have to work on OH to help me extend budget ;-)

Polos Mum - I was seriously tempted with an 18 year old locally but having had 2 horses PTS in the last 18 months I just couldn't face it again. I know age not the only factor in losing horses, but it would increase the risk for me...

Singing dawg - Ha! My last 2 have been low slung front heavy and I'd just like to feel there was something a bit more 'upright' about them but I do agree with you about it coming back to bite me!

Off to work on OH...
