I currently ride my TB in a 3 ring snaffle which has a thick mouthpiece and a lozenge which she goes well in. She has a small mouth: 5".

For dressage I ride in a french link hanging cheek snaffle but I'm looking for something more like her everyday bit which she is much more comfortable in. Even though she has a small mouth and tongue she likes a thick, jointed mouthpiece. I struggle to find bits with a thick mouthpiece in 5" as they become pony bits which tend to be thinner.

I'm looking at trying a Full Cheek jointed snaffle in a rubber mouthpiece as these tend to be thicker. Any other suggestions welcome :).

You can get a thick copper loose ring or eggbutt from bit world which a lot of horses go very well in. I think they could be made by cottage craft but I can't remember for sure.

My TB only had a little 5" mouth I use a nathe straight bar snaffle which she seems to like going in :)
