Looking for a friend - dog needs new home

Not quite sure where to post this so am putting here...

Wondering if anyone can or knows of someone that could give an older dog a good retirement home? Dog is a golden retriever/German shepherd. Stipulation is that it obviously has to be a good home but also ideally has a good amount of outdoor space to run around. His owner sadly passed away.

He's around 11 years old and good with other animals - has lived with cats. No known health issues. Not massively active now apart from 2 walks a day at the moment.

Aww. Lovely lad. The oldest one I ever took on was 16! He lived 18 happy months with me. Someone must have space for that sweet old fella.

My Lurcher would drive him nuts! She’s a menace with other dogs. I’d love to help the old lad otherwise. There’s a group called golden oldies.

He looks lovely, local Facebook or neighbourhood groups with a picture of him and good description may find a home. Someone local might recognise him from daily walks and take him in...

Fat fingers. It was a web site but can’t find it now. May well be something the dogs trust could help with?

They likely have already asked but will mention. I have also asked my horse vet (who tried to convince me to take him lol) it's just about spreading the word

This looks like the admin mostly posts about dogs already in a rescue. I will check it out more tomorrow. Will also look into the cinnamon trust
