Looking for a Ghareeb stallion, and how close is to close for breeding?

Afternoon all! I usually breed dogs so I wondered if I could pick your brains and have some opinions.

Firstly, I have a wonderful Ghareeb mare, about whom I have waxed lyrical previously. I am considering breeding from her next year (she is competition proven with a typical Ghareeb outstanding temperament). I would like to replicate many parts of her, and wondered if it were feasible to use a stallion by Ghareeb? It would be a common route in dogs but I don't know about horses and would not want to "inbreed".

2) if the above is do able, could anyone point me in the direction of a Ghareeb stallion? Since the old gentleman himself is on the next realm now, I looked down the BE lists of his descendants but all appear mares or gelded.

If not, I would welcome other suggestion. I prefer to stay away from warm bloods, and the parts I feel I could improve on the mare are a little more sharpness, and more extravagance in the paces. She is so calm I could definitely risk a hotter stallion I think, hopefully without achieving a fire breathing dragon! She is a good middle weight and so again, I would comfortably consider a more TB/lighter stamp.

I have peach juice and mozzarella salad left over from this conference I am currently not paying attention to...

I wouldn't do half brother/ half sister but might try with another generation of separation.
What is your mare's dam line?

I rather like Rainbow High who shares some of Ghareeb's ancestry.

Lovely though Ghareeb stock has turned out I would not line breed to him as he is by Dancing Brave who had quite a bad parrot mouth. Look for a line as talent but an outcross would be your safest bet.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the input. Rainbow high is stunning, but think I might want a more sports horse proven sire maybe. I know that's a bit contradictory.

I'm glad I asked, because in some ways the dog and horse breeding worlds are similar and in others clearly not!

It's a good job I've got a while.

The dam line- she's out of a premium graded ISH Balleycullen Honey, who is by coille mor hill (sp as don't have papers on me) who is by clover hill.

sTALLION AI Services have one of the best collection of proven Event sires in the country, including my own Weston Justice, Mill Law, Revolution and Uptons Deli Circus. Have a look on their website :-)
