I am on the hunt for my next horse and am not having much luck with private sales. I thought I would try and find a dealer that has been recommended by someone who has had a good purchase experience. If anyone can recommend someone I would be most grateful.:)

I am reaching an age where I should grow up a bit and rather than riding a teenagers fun pony i am seeking a ladies horse, this is turning out to be easier than it sounds.

I am looking for a horse between 15 - 16.3 hands, with experience to help me. Initially I am looking to ride to relax, escaping from motherhood, so pleasure, beach, hacking, schooling riding will be the focus for the next couple of years, after this I will be hoping to compete in some local competitions in show jumping, hunter trials, riding club activities and possibly some hunting or Le Trec. I am looking for a sane horse not a fun challenge. Ideally one that doesn't have to be ridden every day as there will enevitably be times when child care will be a problem. The horse will be living with others and also sharing a paddock so socialised is important. I needs to be easy to handle and good around children.
The horse i buy I do not want to sell at a later date, I am looking for a life long companion, therefore a max age of 11 but I do not want a loopey youngster, if it is youngish and sane fine.

Understand there will have to be some comprises along the way......

I might have something that suits, depending what your budget is and what sort of level of schooling you are looking for...

I have realised that my wording was not great (this is what children have done to me!), I meant to say "it is not as easy as it sounds" when referring to my hunt for a ladies horse. Also "there will be compromises along the way". Honestly I am slowly going mad!!
