Until you are looking for one, didn't realise how hard the task in hand is!
Lovely lady (not me btw), who sadly lost her wonderful chap recently is looking for a new partner. Thought I'd jump on the journey and help if I could.
Potential show quality, approx 15.2/15.3, ideally at least backed, but happy with young - 10yrs. Don't think it matters on gender. Must be a nice person!!
Grey would be a bonus (got plenty of purple shampoo she says!), but please not a coloured cob. No offense, just not her thing. Willing to pay for the right horse.

So, fellow HHO's, if you want to help, and spend your time 'shopping' please point me in directions of possible candidates. (I don't think there are many!?) Thanks so very much in advance. x

K&K Cobs and Horses in County Galway always have nice cobs. They are advertised as unbacked at four years old but I believe they will back them for clients if requested. They have a nice 15.1 grey advertised.

Please keep them coming if anyone should know of a nice person who fits the bill....

I’ve seen this horse advertised for the past couple of months which worries me. You think he’d get snapped up

I went and watched the video of him. He doesn't look to be the best (or straightest - plaiting) of movers, which would obviously put the showing people off. If I was looking, I'd snap him up based on those photos but the video would have then put me off.

Totally agree. We all loved him based on the photos.

Yours is absolutely cracking, I love him. Was he relatively easy to back and bring on?
He was a diamond, however he was literally almost untouched when he arrived at just 3.

I gained his trust very quickly(in fact, he lay down near me the day he arrived from Ireland in the field, he was that tired!) but then due to some serious health issues (me) I had to send him to a friend 50 miles away as I was too ill to look after him and the fellow liveries where he was, wanted to lead him in a chifney "because he's not halter broken (!!!)".
To be honest, that was the making of him, he went out with 3 other 1 and 2 yos and Dr Green did the rest, he wasn't broken in for 18 months because I was just too ill and that extra year did him the power of good.

I first sat on him 4 weeks after breaking (which the breaker described as the easiest she'd done, because he has such a "Can do" attitude. I did this as I thought I might have thyroid cancer and I might never have the chance again.

He was golden if a bit wobbly and the next ride I rode up and down a massive open field (one of my biggest fears) - no fuss.

I taught him to hack on my own (no one else to go with and straight onto a village road) and he just trusted me.
I'm so proud of him, my biggest gamble as I bought him from a video & I'd do it again 1000 times.

I have a friend who has a nice coloured maxi for sale, family home, only for sale due to owners ill health. Message me if they can look past the coloured thing.

If Hampshire's not too far away, have a look at NB Equine on Facebook. I bought Charlie (not the Charlie mentioned above!) from Natacha and she's lovely. She sources nearly all hers from Ireland and they're all ID types or cobs. She did have a lovely maxi cob type but not sure if he's still there. If not, it won't be long before she has another, I'm sure.
