Hi
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced natural horsemanship person in the Shropshire area (Much Wenlok). I would like some groundwork and ridden lessons but am struggling to find anybody .

Hi. I would prefer someone to come to me really. I used to have a lovely lady that came every 3 weeks, she's from Hereford and I think she found it too far to travel.

Different people may have different ideas when they use the term Natural Horsemanship so it might be helpful if you could specify the kind of training approach you are interested in. I think there is a list of Monty Roberts type trainers on the web if you do a search. Pareli are bound to advertise their services as well for what it's worth!

If the NH title is not that important in what you are seeking, Janet George on here has a great reputation with young horses and problem horses (search the forum for numerous success stories by grateful owners) and she is based in Shrops.

Michael Peace is lovely. I could watch him all day.

Rich Maxwell has had good feedback.

Anyone who will take the time to listen to you, and of course your horse, one who posseses empathy and who is definately not into the quick fix ways of doing things will be able to help you both out.

Dosent matter if they label themselves as natural or not.

Good luck.

Sorry I should have been a little more specific in what I'm looking for. I suppose I am looking for someone with emphathy in teaching young horses and to bring some fun to our lessons as well as education. My TB youngster is 4 now, I've had him from a weanling at 6 months. I've always done groundwork with him and tried to instil manners etc and he really is turning into a lovely boy. He went away last year to be backed and ridden by someone who used to come to our yard to teach but unfortunately she can no longer teach because of the distance. He will be going back to her this year as he has had a few months off to chill and grow. I havent any problems or issues with him and have so far managed to 'nip them in the bud' before they arose. I suppose I used the wording 'natural horsemanship' as everything has been done slowly and calmly with him, you cant be aggressive with him or he will be aggressive back. I had 'Max' once to him when he was 18 months for basic groundwork, loading etc, just to make sure we were on the right track. I've had some really nice/good instructors in the past but they have gone off the 'scene' mainly to start families or relocated to another area.

Rose Hall from Silversand Horsemanship is very good, a nice lady who loves the horses. She's based in Gloucester.

Exactly what Sue Palmer will be able to help you with. She is a BHSAI, ACPAT registered Physio in addition to being an IH Recommended Associate. So is an 'all round' horse person
