I'm searching for another horse but there seems to be so many websites!!!! Has anyone had any success finding a horse online? Which website is the best to use?
There are thousands of horses out there up for sale, many are not advertised on any website. Look in tack shops, word of mouth etc. Don't limit yourself to the internet. I firmly believe that you will find the horse that you want within a radius of no more than 30-40 miles from your house, you don't have to travel to the other end of the country to find one. There are many reputable dealers who will either have the ideal horse for you or will have the contacts to find it for you. Dealers prices are more realistic than prices private sellers are asking in most cases.
I spent hours trawling though websites over a couple of months-about 5! and found that so many are not updated regularly and are just a waste of time and effort.
Horsemart seems to be the best (this is where i found my horse in the end) but these other 2 were ok aswell. www.horsemart.co.uk www.adtrader.co.uk- there will be one fairly local to you www.thehorseexchange.co.uk or .com not sure
Good luck in your search xx
We found our Haffy(at the end of my sig) on horsemart. We were very lucky as she was the first one we saw and she was perfect, still is apart from the cheekiness!!
We have a local dealer who will find you a horse based on what you want and your ability - I'm sure there's one near you. It's a really good idea to speak to people in your area with horses - this dealer doesn't have to advertise much as everyone knows her!
