im looking for a sharer for my gelding, just a couple of days a week, but i want someone who just wants to hack, or school on the flat, im happy to give them lessons, but due to injuries, no jumping or thrashing him around, do you think i am asking too much? is it unreasonable to want to find a sharer who just wants to enjoy my horse?

Perfectly reasonable, your horse so you set the boundaries. I for one would be more than happy with such an arrangement, not everyone wants to jump or compete, some of us really are just happy hackers.

loads of people are happy enough to enjoy a hack or a bit of flatwork

I have just advertised for a sharer for one of my horses and quite clearly stated on the advert that I wanted someone who would treat him with respect and care. I am the same as you, just want someone who will treat him the same way I do i.e. as an animal and not a machine. I don't think you are being unreasonable. Hopefully someone nice will respond to you. Good luck.
