i am hoping someone on here will be able to help me i am looking for a side saddle 17 inch medium wide. i can buy or borrow to try, i dont have loads of money so looking for a fairly cheap one (very rare i know). condition not important but must be sound. thank you
 
I've got a Mayhew that I keep planning on getting restored, 17" med/wide but needs new panels and girth straps and a few other bits and bobs doing to it. Was going to send it off to my saddler this summer to get done but I only have one horse and already have two side saddles that fit her!!

how much would you want for it? do you know how much roughly it would cost to repair? thank you
 
Messaged with the price as I don't want to get slapped by the FC for "advertising" (I'm not bothered if I sell it or not as it fits Hattie so am happy to keep it).
I did have it marked down on a piece of paper what the saddler quoted me, it was about £500 mark (it is Master Saddler Leo Wright Saddlery, he does EXCELLENT work on side saddles and can fix ANYTHING on them!). He was going to reline the panels, not make new ones altogether.
The thing about side saddles is that even if you get a "cheap" one, often (more often than not!), the repairs to restore it to riding condition bump up the price. I was going to have the Mayhew restored because it's a desirable Lissadell model and it happened to fit awkward Hattie so it is worth me to get it fixed.
