Hello all.
I am trying to help very good friends find a spaniel or possibly spaniel trype that needs a home and don't know of any in need.
So more heads and all that I thought I qoukd ask here.
The couple are older, both retired, very active and travel a lot with dog joining them. The dog must travel well, be good with other dogs and people and ideally under 4.
The last one was a fairly quirky dog and they managed his behaviours very well.
It is a very good home and the dog will want for nothing.
 
They ha e apiece for one through spaniel aid and are keeping an eye on them, qill suggest the other rescues, thank you.
Obviously they are wanting a popular age group and requirements so may have to wait a while
 
There are spaniel rescues in most parts of the UK So worth a google for example South west springer spaniel rescue, spaniel aid etc. All reputable rescues will carry out home checks etc and ask for a donation. Donations help towards the costs of rehoming for example neutering or speying, vaccinations, any treatment required prior to rehoming. Most are only too happy to rehome appropriat dogs to retired people who will have time to spend with them and especially if they have previous experience with the breed in question. It can take a while to get everything in place but definitely worth enquiring and if they can manage ‘problems’ that often resolve in the right home they will move up the list! Huge numbers of dogs coming in to rescue post pandemic because of lack of basic education and training.
