Hello,

I am looking for a new yard near as near to Luton/Lilley/Offley as possible. I have just bought my first horse and now need somewhere lovely to keep her. She's a 14 year old Welsh Sec D, Black. Does not need a stable but I am looking for somewhere that has field shelters (if poss if not good natural shelter) and most importantly a bullet proof worming system!!

If you or anyone know of anywhere please get in touch - many thanks!

Emma :)

Hello

Don't know about Luton area but:

Lilley:
Church Farm - opposite the church!: flood-lit school, DIY, all yr turn-out (but in over-night in winter). usually a waiting list.
Ralphs Farm - near the bus stop: DIY, all yr turn-out
Lilley Hoo Farm - on Lilley Hoo Lane: DIY, all yr turn-out

Lilley Bottom - towards Whitwell:
Dog-kennel Farm - on Lilley Bottom by the A505: DIY, all yr turn-out
Not sure if Simon Andrews (Point to Point trainer) also does livery on Lilley Bottom
There is also a nice yard on Stony Lane, off Lilley Bottom (near Ley Green Cattery) - used to do dressage competitions - can't remember its name!

Offley:
one on Holly Bush Hill between Lilley and Offley: some facilities, all yr turn-out
one behind the Greenman pub in Offley: some facilities, all yr turn-out

Little Offley:
Park View Farm - off Hitchin Road: supposed to have nice facilities etc

Whitwell area has some lovely yards with more facilities etc - depends what you are looking for.

Sorry I can't remember all of the names - they may come back to me!
There are lots of other small DIY yards in the villages around Luton and Hitchin that I don't know. Offley show is on this weekend (I think). May be worth going and talking to people?

If you need contacts for good farrier, vet, dentist etc let me know.
