Looking for an adult riding holiday with a mixture of instruction and hacking, where the horses are keen, the instructors are outstanding, the scenery is beautiful and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. Any ideas????
 
Are you looking to stay in the uk or go abroad?

My sister went to Wales a couple of years ago and said that was great, I think the place was called trans-Wales. Or I went to Croatia last year which was amazing, all of the things you want plus incredible food, it wasn't too expensive either as far as these things go.

If you're looking to go abroad I booked Croatia through unicorn trails and have booked this years holiday through them too, they've been really helpful and have loads of choice.
 
Castle Leslie in Ireland is great. Good horses - fun hacks and comfortable lodgings. Some of the rooms even look over the stable yard.
 
There's a place in Cartmel (Cumbria) called The Freisian Experience. As the name suggests, they have Freisians. I believe they offer accommodation too or can recommend somewhere nearby.
It's not cheap though.
Also, the more I look at the word Freisian the more I think I've spelt it wrong. ☺️
 
If you're looking in England look at Equestrian Escapes Cheshire holiday. The yard is fabulous, the horses great quality (all competing or have competed) and the instructors are top notch. The hacking is either forest rides or to a local cross country farm ride.
 
Many years ago, I've had an amazing riding holiday at Trans-Wales Trials. I could only afford a weekend of riding at the time, but even so, the riding was fantastic and the scenery breathtaking. The horses were all fit and healthy and incredibly sure-footed, and they were all very well behaved. None of them e.g. tried to bolt off. The instructors were all great at giving tips and information, and provided as much or as little instruction regarding people's riding as was necessary. I think everybody felt overjoyed at being there but also felt safe. Honestly, those horses were so good and well-behaved, I think even beginners would have been fine, although it's probably not advisable to go on these types of rides if you're a complete novice.

I will one day go back again as I want to do their ultimate ride, the 'Trans-Wales' ride where you have long rides every day and stay overnight en route at different places along the route.

As far as I remember, with some of the rides the going is easier and will be less challenging than others, so perhaps call them up and have a chat for more information or for them to put your mind at ease. (I'm only saying this as in your OP you said that you want a mixture of instruction and hacking.)
