Ok, well the stud havent contacted me since i emailed saying i wasnt prepared to pay £100 full livery instead of the original £30 per week grass livery as planned.

so i was going to leave it (again!) for another year - but - i've just thought i will have a look at stallions and see if there are any others advertised that werent back in april when i was looking,

i've just found this one http://www.stallionsonline.co.uk/viewitem.php?id=9520
Saint Malo, 94 Han. pedigree on above link.
hes local, which is something i want - yes hes £100 more expensive than the one i had decided on but i think maybe worth it! opinions please on a postcard

i'll keep looking and add any more i may find as i find them!

I liked the look of him when I first saw him a few months ago (also saw write up in H&H re his bloodlines) and well you can't really question the quality of his siblings, etc. Only thing I would ask about his his temperament and offspring temperament as from what I have heard, the Salieri offspring can tend to be quite sharp (Although trainable)...just a thought

i hope this works - !!! this should be a pici of my mare...
(please excuse the pic - it was taken about 15 minutes after i got her! and i cant get it any bigger on here

)

She is a 10 year old Irish Sports Horse, I'm wanting to produce a good allrounder that i can keep and ride as by the time its 4, i'd imagine most of my veterans will def be retired/sadly no longer with us. I will prob just be doing local level shows.

Re: AI v Natural - my vet suggested natural for her, but i am flexible depending on the stallion and the stud.

Goodtimes the kwpn stallion is standing in the UK this year? I have seen a number of his offspring compete in dressage and jumping to a high level, they also all seem to have an extremely good work ethic.
www.majesticgaits.com/goodtimes.htm (has pics of his offspring) or www.vdl.nl

Also have you considered mooiman? I have seen some fab offspring by him, temp and movement wise and he isn't that far away from you? (i think!)

Mooiman is at Holden Fold stud with Santana, they also have Oliver a jumping stallion, they're over Darwen way and are wonderful with their horses. Horsegroupie's cvs Bellagio is with my YO in Burnley and he has the best attitude to work I've ever seen in a youngster, cvs hot business and lohekey helios de bornival (international grade a) are available by ai too. Plus there's a 4yo by helios on the yard and she SERIOUSLY jumps and there's also my lovely colt!

I think the stallion you put in the first post looks lovely!

well he did sire Salinero! I dunno tho, think Rupert and Merlin look nicer, to me anyway. and Mooiman was stunning in the flesh and much nicer than his pictures, had the privelege of seeing him do a bit of work whilst I was looking round, his foals are lovely too.

He has also qualified for the Bundeschampionat this year, along with our 5 year old Hann stallion Don Ricoss ( Don Frederico/Weltmeyer). This will be his 3rd year of qualifying for the Bundeschampionat
