Hi,

I'm looking for a livery yard in the East Leake area, or around Kegworth, Long Whatton areas. I have two horses and need DIY livery but would preferably like to find somewhere that included hay in the price of livery. I'm currently on a yard with cows and one of my horses is petrified of cows something i don't think he will get over easy. The cows are in a field next to the school and i am only using half the school sometimes which just seems pointless to me and i end up not enjoying riding in there. I have fallen off because the cows and these cows do like to play and run around. Marley went through his field fence the other morning because he could see them running around in the field a fair distance away. If i'd have been turning out or bringing in i'd have been squished and trampled or if i'd been riding i probably would have been put on the deck. When it comes to winter and its dark and i can't see them it will end up being dangerous for me especially as Marley can have a habit of rearing and bucking when excited/nervous. I have tried getting him close to them about a foot or so away and he doesn't mind its just when they move. My other horse isn't that bothered by them. Any suggestions of any yards in the above or surrounding areas would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

There is Home Farm (large livery place with about 50 horses), or Riseholme Livery (about 12 horses). They are right next to each other. Both do have some cows though, although I shouldnt think they will be anywhere near the schools.

Im at home farm, its lovely, but there are cows at the back of the fields(only a handfull of fields though). Have some in a small area you would have to walk past them to get to the fields & then some in a shed which are pretty out of the way.

Still a lovely yard though.
