Looking for Dressage Training in the UK?

I have started a new page on Facebook called "Looking for Dressage Training in the UK?" as I have been receiving quite a few enquiries from Equestrians looking for training in specific areas of the UK. Hopefully, if people post their requirements we can start to join people up with trainers who meet their requirements

Alternatively people could ask British Dresssage if they are having difficulties finding anyone.

Absolutely and that is one of the first suggestions on the page. However it would seem that not everyone wants to use BD website

Why ever not? Would they have the same aversion to the BHS or BE websites because there are even more trainers on there?

I can imagine a lot of people starting out might feel a bit intimidated by selecting a trainer from the BD website rightly or wrongly and like to go through word of mouth / recommendation to find a friendly local trainer. Plus FB will update you on what's happening locally far more quickly than BD could and not all trainers are on BD in any case.

So long as people remember that the friendly/local trainer MAY not be the best person to prepare them for dressage even if they think they are. If you are started off on the wrong foot it may be harder to correct than learning correctly in the first place.
