hi there.
i am very new to this forum thing and looking for some help.
i recently purchased my new horse after being out of the horse world for years at christmas from cambridgshire after much looking and research. when i went to try him the lady riding him made him look like a donkey, but when i rode him he was totally different!thankfully i may add as i loved him at first sight and dont want a donkey. a week later i got him delivered to glasgow and all was well albeit the weather was freezing i managed to ride every other day after work with no problems. He was very fat and unfit so it took a month or so to get him fit and slim..problem is now he is very fit and slim and full of energy : ) but keeps managing to throw me off!lol. i am no novice rider. i used to re school unruly horses and have broken a few but he is the only horse i have not been able to sit when he barrel rolls, bucks, then bucks again when he realises im stil on his back! his back and teeth have been checked. i get all 4 feet done every 6 weeks and his saddle fits well so im at a loss as i have him living out with no access to a sand arena. i only have the field i have fenced off as an arena to do school work. when hacking out he is the perfect gent and never misbehaves. HELP!
thanks

are you able to travel to somewhere with an arena? if so, there are plenty of places you could go such as Ingliston or Rowallan.
if you need someone to go to you, then where are you based?

thanks for that : ) he doesnt need getting fit that is part of my problem. I need someone to show me how to ride him now that he is as he was way overweight before and rode like a donkey!

aaaah beith how stupid i am lol shes near lugton but im friends with her on fb and she seems to do lessons all over
thanks miss l toe was getting annoued there trying to think of the name :-)

You could try Olivia Wilmot - she's good and travels about a lot but can be hard to get a hold of during the eventing season.

Are you focusing mainly on flatwork at the moment? If so I think Lauren O'Hagan travels out Renfrewshire way so may cover your area. It might be worth finding out who your local riding club use for instruction and trying to link in with them also.
