Hi,

Am looking for good yard around Glasgow South or Renfrewshire area. Must have assisted DIY for turn-out, school and reasonable hacking.

That is what I am trying to do, find a place of my own, but easier said than done! Am at Ian's just now, and the turnout at Mid Gavin is a problem. Lawmarnock never seems to have any vacancies, problem is need 4 stables!
 
hmm, not sure who would have 4 boxes but have you tried linda penman (kilbarchan), alan carruth (kilbarchan), heather murry (kilmacolm) mid-glen (kilmacolm), meadow park (houston) ford bank (johnstone)... cant think of any others off the top of my head but i'm sure there must be more! We have one box at ours but not much use for 4 horses lol

also, cant remember the name but there is a yard on the beith road behind the iron art place (at the new roundabout for lochwinnoch) that is meant to have great hacking.

hello, there are boxes free at the yard I'm at. Is near barrhead/uplawmoor/paisley. Not that far from ian couties. I will ask about livery for you tomorrow and will pm you?

another place that has just came to mind has been wardbowie and also west coseford there is also east gavin but nto sure if they do livery. its very difficult when you need 4 stables
 
hi maxusa, i asked at the yard about livery but someone had been in to see about livery that day and is moving their horses in, bad timing! You could try West Capelli (sp?) farm, it's near Barrhead.
 
Have you tried equi-ads and scottish & Northern equestrian?

There is a place which looks nice near Port Glasgow, Ardgowan I think it is called and there is a place at Neilston - Furze Farm. I cant remember the name, but there is a stables at Glennifer Braes - great for hacking, in Paisley.
