Hello everyone

I am moving to Bromsgrove at the end of August due to new job commitments and would love to take my horse with me, otherwise I will be forced to sell him :( However with no prior knowledge of the area (I am moving from South Yorkshire) I have no idea where to even begin to look!!

I am looking for a livery yard with a budget of around £50 per week maximum. I am very flexible with any facilities that would be available, so long as there is some nice hacking I would be happy and anything more would be a bonus :)

So if anyone knows of anywhere that fits this criteria it would be a massive help thankyou!!!!!!

Think my area might be a bit far out I was thinking maybe New House Farm which is Blakedown. Might do you just for a bit until you know the area?

I used to be there but I had DIY. They did part and I'm pretty sure full as well. Nice school. Equine vet clinic on site. Tack shop.

Edited to say - they haven't got a web-site but if you look for Jo Raggett she is a chiroprator and she owns and runs it.

Ooh that sounds nice, and its not too far away from where I will be living. Do you happen to know if the cost is/below £50 per week?

I paid £22 for diy about 5 years ago. They used to do a kind of assisted livery so you could just add on what you need. I'm actually going to see Jo tomorrow she's coming out to one of the horses so I can ask her if she has any spaces etc what horse have you got?

PM me if you want : )

Hi there, I'd second the recommendation for New House Farm - great place! I kept my two horses there for about 3 years, and loved it there. Fab huge school, tack/feed shop, equine vets on site, lovely hacking, lovely stables, auto waterers in most paddocks, great post and rail fenced paddocks....lovely!

Don't know what it's like now, but there was a bit of a ragwort problem when i was there, which was our own job to sort out, and the grass used to be a bit sparse (we managed our own grazing) but that suited me with two fatties!

Anyway, it really is a lovely yard....go for it!

No previous experiences but Monsieur's Hall livery is just outside bromsgrove, they have a website so could be worth a look. I shared a horse who was on diy at another place where they had a uk chasers course and loads of off road hacking but can't remember the name! Might come to me at some point!

I work in bromsgrove so will keep eyes and ears open for you..

No problem. The owner was very helpful when I was looking.

The UK chasers course is at Longlands livery, which is a short distance out of Bromsgrove. They have an outdoor school and loads of fields to hack round. I think there's a monthly show just up the road too! They were £50 a month grass livery but not sure about other bits and bobs.

The other one I know of is at Grimley Hall/Farm. Went up there a couple of times to ride. It was £25 per week DIY but that was a while back. Nice outdoor school and some good hacking as far as I can remember.

If you need a sharer give me a shout :)
