Anyone know of any decent yards around Cannock Chase?

I am moving to the area in the new year so need to find out what's available.

I am looking for DIY livery only, either grass or stable, but a decent amount of turnout is an absolute must if he is to be stabled.

Don't mind too much about facilities, we are only happy hackers but an outdoor school would be nice...

How about Buxtons on the A34 think they have everything you are looking for, not sure of prices but got the idea it is reasonable

In Rugeley its mostly private yards/field so you may have to just pull up and ask if anywhere has spaces! There are a lot of horses around slitting mill area, and also hazelslade area. The biggest yard I know of is Stafford Brook, used to have my horse there but may not have spaces. Its DIY with a stable, and 20x40 outdoor school. Google it and you will find their number but the address is not the yard address, its on Stafford Brook road. There are also a couple of other little yards around there, just drive up and ask.

There is also one just outside Rugeley it's part of the strawberry farm. On main road. It's lovely there. Outdoor school and straight onto the chase.

Holfords have two yards in Cannock. Both have direct access to the chase and good facilities. Large yards so stables do come up quite often.

Have you looked on the facebook page for Cannock Chase Horseriders club or Staffordshire Horse. Have seen spaces advertised there I think.
