Hi everyone, I'm currently looking at places for livery in the Wokingham, Bracknell area. Or a field with stables etc.. just trying to get an idea of prices and availability in this area.. Many Thanks

There's a couple of Facebook groups - berkshire horse and pony, and livery yards in berkshire and Surrey - post what you're looking for on there and you'll get loads of recommendations :-) it's not the cheapest area that's for sure! Are you looking for DIY or part? There's loads of yards around binfield, Sherlock row, Waltham st Lawrence etc. lovely hacking too.

I do know of a couple of places however it is literally a field, no stables etc..which isn't ideal for winter months.. I shall let you know if I hear of anything. I sold both my horses a couple of years ago and looking to get another but wanted to be sure I wasn't hunting around for availability before I take the plunge again ;)

Ok I'll try there.. I would probably be looking for either to be honest.. I used to have horses up north sooooo much cheaper ;) thanks for your reply Suzie86.

That's ok I used to be in that area so know the yards just not where has spaces!

Pelion stud in Sherlock row is v nice indeed but quite pricey! Fantastic hacking round there though!

Speak to Jo at Wokingham Equestrian Centre, I was there for quite a while before moving cities. Best thing is to pop into tack shops (try Eileen Douglas/Milwheels) and ask around. Have you tried posting in the Wokingham and Bearwood Riding Club group? Or speaking to anyone there? There are loads all around Wokingham/Hurst/Finchampstead and out towards Ascot/Wargrave. Kimbers is another really nice yard, and I think somewhere called Cross Lanes has space? Try Cow City too. Will try to think of a few more! Not local anymore but worth getting your name on some waiting lists if you aren't desperate for a space :)

Jo at Wokingham Equestrian Centre was advertising a block of 5 (I think) stables and field for rent the other week, so definitely might be worth a call, you could even pal up with someone wanting livery and take the whole block.

Brilliant thanks for all your help guys, I'm going to put a few messages up in tack shops etc.. And also contact a couple that you have mentioned. I just want a nice quiet yard that also isn't a rising school but I'll have a look around on Facebook too!

Sounds like what I could be looking for soon. Whereabouts though?

I'm moving my horse from Hurst next week, and there will be a space in the field he was in. It has a shelter, rather than stables, but the person who is taking over the lease is great, and there is a school available for hire 2 mins hack away.
