Hi HHO

tentatively looking for livery anywhere from Barnet / Enfield to the Chigwell / Loughton areas

DIY Assisted or part livery

ind. or paired daily turnout ideal (herd will be considered)
School - indoor a bonus
Straw ideal
Auto water drinkers an absolute bonus but not essential

i’m on the perfect yard at the moment but relocating back to London due to a new job.

Woodhurst livery in crews hill - no indoor.

If your horse is under or around 15hh there’s a private yard in Epping with 3 stables - happy to PM you her name

Brownings in Chigwell is nice!

you’ll struggle atm as a big yard with 90 liveries is shutting down at the end of March so they’re all relocating!

Forest farm chigwell has good facilities the turnout not great yo can be a bit difficult.

The water tower at havering atte bower is not bad

Woodredon high beach has good facilities and turnout indoor school.

There used to be loads in high beach but not sure if they are still open I'm not in the area anymore.

Vicarage Farm was advertising part livery spaces recently. Not sure how well they meet your spec though.

ETA: Frith has an indoor. I don’t have any recent information on them though.

I used to be on a yard in Enfield with a few coming from Vicarage with not very nice reviews

Frith is nice - again expensive once you add on shavings! I am spoilt at the moment. I pay £360 for stable, adlib haylage & straw, turn out & bring in Mon-Fri, individual field, indoor & outdoor school, off road hacking & a walker (not that I use it).

Their 5 day livery is £480 and 7 day £565. Very reasonable.

How far back is this? 5-6 years ago I was based round Barnet, and, yes there were a few problems to put it lightly, but last I’d heard it'd changed a lot. An old share of mine is there now and owner seems happy with the standard of care.

Other yards that have come to mind are Hill Top in Totteridge (part livery but expensive) and Barnfields in Chingford (has a riding school, but a nice and friendly yard with the cheapest part livery I can think of).

About 2 years ago! I might look into it though.

I used to ride at Barnfields! It is nice and reasonable but no space :(

Gosh - that sounds like a good deal in most places, let alone so close to London. I wouldn't be shouting about it or you'll be overrun!
