Looking for loan horse - ideas where to look?

Hi, am trying to find a loan horse (well my friend is!) Have looked on all the normal websites and others, but can't find anything. So can anyone suggest where we might find a 15.2-16hh gelding for hacking and a bit of schooling, that is laid back with no vices or health issues? Lovely experienced home awaits him. maybe go round the livery yards and put up a sign and get to know people - it maybe easier to at least pick up sonme rides that way. it seems hard to loan something like that - although not impossible i guess - as quite a lot of horses on loan seem to have issues. otherwise it will be easier in winter - then try the riding schools - good luck tho!

I think you'll be hard pushed to find something that is 100% in all ways - we were looking for OH and it's a nightmare.

For what you want I'd consider small issue - Ty has mild spavins which will be managable and is blind in one eye (although you wouldn't know to look at him) and he's perfectly up to the job you describe. Just think it's always worth considering certain 'issues' as you may end up missing out on your perfect horse!
