Does anyone know Maureen Hunt from the IOW??
She lived/lives on Newport rd in Apse heath, has two daughters (clare and lisa) and a son, who's name I can't rememer, he was in the army. Her husbands name was Dave.
Was just wondering if she was still at the same address and if she was well?
Maureen was like an Aunty to me. She was a family freind, who used to live over the road when I was growing up. She and her daughters taught me most of what I know about horses, and she fuelled my passion for them. She used to let me ride for her, and her house was refuge for me when things were not that good at home.
It has been about 7 years since I last spoke to Maureen, and I never really had the chance to thank her and her family for all they did for me.
So if you are reading this now, a big THANKYOU!! xx
You might be pleased to know, that after an 8 year break from riding I finally got back in the saddle last week (and my god it hurt). My daughter Sophie (who is 7 now) has just started having lessons and she is doing so well. She has a great seat and mastered a rising trot after her first lesson, not bad considering she'd never even sat on a donkey before.
After watching her I realised how much I missed it, so I booked my self a lesson, the RI said that although a little rusty to start with, I did really well. All of that I owe to
Maureen and her family. So once again a massive Thankyou.
Anyway, if any of you know her or how she is, please let me know.
Thanks
Niki.
