Hi - I've just joined this forum hoping someone may be able to help me.....I used to be a junior showjumper back in the 1980's, and I am hoping to trace my old 148cms pony - his name is Ryan's Touch, a JA, and would be about 26/27yrs old now - I believe he could be in Scotland. I would dearly love to know he is well and if he is retired or still jumping. I'd be so grateful if anyone could help - thanks.

Having done a quick Google search for you, this guy below (called Charlie McKerlie) has a granddaughter Abby Johnstone that jumps a Ryan's Touch. Maybe it'd be worth emailing him. If you do a Google on his name, it also throws up a phone number.

Hope that helps.

He was ridden last year by Abbie Johnston (James Smith's cousin) and was 2nd in the Royal Highland Show 148 Championship . Photos on RHS Sunday page on www.photoboxgallery.com/stevenpics I think that he also jumped on the Scottish team at some of the HPI's last year with Abbie.

They've just sold him to the Mawsons so he'll be based with George Babes. He's a lovely pony, jumping happily still and I'm sure his new owners would love to hear from you.

Thank you so much for your information. I don't suppose you know where George Babes or the Mawsons are based at all, or if you would have an e-mail address for them? I'm in Scotland next week, and would dearly love to go and see him if he is still there and I can track him down! Many many thanks again.
