All being well I should be bringing home an English Setter puppy next month :) she will be a Blue Belton and so far OH and I are undecided on names...
I've only ever had to name male pets so I'm a bit stuck with girl names! He currently likes Cleo but I also like Theodora (Theo) but we're both not sure so I thought I would ask for your best names to help us.

Thank you!

So Belton House was the setting for Moondial, which was immediately where my mind went. The main protagonist is Araminta (Minty) and the baddie is (Miss) Raven.
Minty was played in the TV series by Siri Neal, Siri not a bad name and also the name for the iPhone voice recognition thing. There's also a character called Dorrie.

If I ever live where most of the dog work is in the open I’m having a setter. My mum had and worked thrm before I was around and the retirees were a childhood staple. I love them.
European or UK lines? Photos most definitely needed. 😍

Where's the pics? Are you in the UK? It's my dream breed, but the OH is having none of it!
I am in the Uk! I have a couple of pics from when we visited them at 3/4 weeks old but I will get some more this weekend when they're a bit older :D

UK lines - the dad won best of breed at Crufts last year :)

I'm really liking Daphne or Iris @Penguin_Toes !

She is beautiful!
Years ago when I was growing up an English setter used to call at our house quite frequently. We had Labs behind a gate, she would talk to them through the gate. We would gather her up, pop on a lead and take her back home about 1 1/2 miles away. We never met her when walking our dogs, so have no idea why she was so keen on visiting us. She was a lovely dog but very difficult to keep at home - and the owners did try.

Good luck!

I had a mate that named their make red setter ’Blue’ 😁

She’s a sweetie. The name ‘Zephyr’ (‘zeffy’ for short?) just popped into my head seeing her. It‘s quite fitting as its lovely to see a setter running along with their long locks flowing in the breeze.
Zephyr is associated with west winds, favourable breezes, springtime…
