Currently looking out for a 4-6year old event horse with serious event potential- Only thing is feel I am going around in circles of places/websites/people to try!

Unable to afford anything in the five figure range, hence why we've had to limit our search to younger horses with potential. I'm a big fan of horses with some continental breeding/blood in them, alongside good quality Irish event stamps.

Would quite like something with good paces, eye catching, to have natural scope/ability to progress through the grades up to 1*/Intermediate.

Always look on the usual H&H/HorseQuest/Horsemart/HorseSelect/Horse Deals every day to see if anything new has turned up, but most horses I've seen or that have caught my eye are ones through word of mouth! So wanted to ask if anyone knew of any other reputable people, places, studs etc to try!

Thanks :)

I don't know where in the country you are, but Sam Dempsey has a few really quality young horses in at the moment. I'm on facebook, Cheryl Bray and profile pic of my JRT, if you can find me, add me and I'll post some of the ads on your wall.

xx

Have you checked what the billy stud have? We got one not so long ago, very reasonably priced and great quality mare!

Try the Brendon Stud too, they always have some lovely youngstock available!

I know a friend who's going to sell hers, she's putting together an advert (she buys, brings on, and sells youngsters)
This horse is fearless, has scope and lots of potential.
I'll pop some piccies up :)

I took the photos, and watching this mare jump was amazing. She will jump anything put infront of her, has scope and so much potential. She is such a fab mare of quality breeding. My friend is taking this mare (and her other mare for sale) express eventing tomorrow. PM me and I'' find out more off my friend/get you a contact. Don't know her asking price as that's between her and the buyer, but don't think it's 5 figures

I have a friend selling a lovely 6yo ISH, been XC and BS and he's really straightforward. And he'd be a total bargain. Drop me a PM and I'll send you the ad link if you want :)

Also - it might be worth contacting Angus Lohoar at Drumcarrow, he found a fantastic ISH/Hanoverian made by Ricardo Z for a friend of mine a few years ago.

This is one of the ones I thought of for you. I'll try and link to the others when I find them.

Sam and Julia are very quiet, correct riders and don't push or force anything so that's why I gave them my youngster, I trust them implicitly. This boy is 6 and I've seen him out in the field, he can cover ground quickly and Sam really rates him. I do as well. The pic of the girl jumping him is Julia and she weighs probably 8st...the horse is just a gentleman.

Take a look.
