Looking for rescue jack russell bitch

We are hoping to add a little one to our 2 labs. I lost my little girl last January, she was 13. I miss her terribly. We have 2 gorgeous labs, one is a 9 year old black lab gundog. The there's is a fox red, 9 months old, hopefully will be a gundog!! So really nothing dogs are OH. I miss having a naughty little monkey that will come everywhere with me. We both work full time but OH works on the farm so is in and out the house all day!! We have 400 acres of land round the house to walk on. We are looking for a little jrt birch. I think anything up to 3 years old would be fine. We are in South lincs. She has got to be a rescue or a redone perhaps from an elderly ill person. If anyone hears of anything that might be suitable I would be very grateful if you could let me know. Thank you

Good luck in your search, I'm a huge JRT fan. There are several JRT Facebook groups, it might be worth joining if you haven't already done so.

You could contact Dogs Trust, they usually have plenty of terriers for rehoming.

Is dogs trust London based? We are south lincs. Miss having a little terrorist around!! I will look at fb groups thank you. Sort of hoping one will find me as I hate looking at all the rescues on websites?

Keep an eye on Preloved, Gumtree et al. We found our 3yo JRT on Preloved recently, she wasn’t a rescue but she needed to be rehomed as her owners were moving to a flat without a garden. Older dogs come up quite frequently.

Dogs Trust is a national Charity, they have several regional centres I'm not sure where your nearest one will be.

Just looked. We live on a farm so space no problem. They are a little older than u want really. After loosing my girl last Jan I don't want to go through that again any time soon x

JRTs are usually fairly long-lived, so I wouldn't have thought that 3 or 4 was too old to consider having a good, long time with a rehomed dog. Perhaps you should consider a pup, after all?

Those ones were 6.5 years and 4.5 years old. I will definitely think hard about it. I have to make sure I think with my head not my heart otherwise would have them all xx

They wanted a quiet dog then got a jrt??? Rolls eyes. Poor little thing, if Mr Old Trout wasn't so sensible I'd probably be trying to adopt the poor dog.

Have you tried The Cinnamon Trust? I understand they have the occasional dog to rehome for its elderly or unwell owner.

There is a sweet looking 2 year old JRT bitch newly advertised in Barnstaple on Preloved, although probably too far for you.
