Hi
I am looking for some advice and thought you lot would be the best to ask...
I bought a saddle from a master saddler off preloved who has their own website and is registered. Knowing that they are a registered I thought this was a fairly safe bet and so after asking for pictures to be emailed I bought the saddle. It arrived after some minor postage problems but was not the saddle in the pictures in fact it wasn't even the same model. I got in touch with seller who said there had been a mix up and send they would arrange for collection and send the other saddle on. It's now been two weeks since the wrong saddle was collected but I cannot get in contact with seller anymore. In my messages I have asked for a refund if the saddle is not coming but I am getting no response so I am now without saddle or contact. What do I do now?

Sorry it was a long one!

If they are registered with The Master Saddlers contact them and ask whether they can help. Otherwise can someone on here who is local to the saddler help - by finding the telephone numer for example? Do you have an address or anything other than email? Does Preloved have a policy in case of what appears to be fraud? If all else fails contact the police as it appears to be fraud.

Is it definitely the saddler and not someone using their details on preloaded? Have you contacted through their website too.

Either way it needs reporting but if it's not the actual saddler they may help you in order to protect their name if a scam.

Hi
Thanks for the suggestions. The email matches that on the website so I think it is the same person. I did send an email to that address today so I will give them a few days to respond but if not I think the suggestion of talking to SMS might be good bet. I have looked but preloved doesn't seem to have a policy but paypal does so I have said I will take it up with them if I don't get a response.

If you paid for goods via Paypal them open a snad now. You will be told to return tracked at your cost and once you upload the tracking information, Paypal will refund you the full amount you paid. They will not give you the returns postage though x

How did you pay? If its Paypal then raise a case with them, if it was by credit card then contact your card company. Also try Trading Standards, if the saddler is acting as a company then T'S may be able to help. Don't give the saddler 'a few days' to reply, they've had long enough. I'd be contacting them every day, and keeping a record of it all just in case. Good luck x
