Hey, not sure if this is in the right section, so please move if it's in the wrong section

Basically just wanted to create a topic where I could meet some riders

Also if any riders on here are from the Leicester Area and East Coast of Essex please post, just want to get to know a few people, don't know many people that ride horses, it's a passion of mine that i've always had and just never acted upon it for financial reasons (uni life is expensive)
 
Really, i don't know the geography of Leicester very well, when i go back to uni for my 2nd year i'll be in Grasmere Street how far is that from you?
 
I'm from Cambridge, where in Essex? I don't really know many horsey people either. I need some people in my life who don't get horrendously bored of my horse chatter haha!

Same here! I see their eyes glazing over and a confused look on their face...I'm in norfolk though.

I'm near Clacton-On-Sea, don't know where that is? 30 minutes from Colchester

So, how long have you been riding and where do you ride?
 
Just as a word of advice Tomsta, I wouldn't be asking people where exactly they are straight off. People are quite careful about giving too much information about themselves to strangers on the internet, for good reason.

You've said where in Leicester you are, so people can tell you if they're very far/near from there if they want to. :)

i'm not looking for specific addresses, just a better idea of where people are (i'm not good with geography generally, helps me to know my surroundings)

Were your riding lessons in Essex or Leicester? How did you enjoy them, and how did they go? :)

both, i had my taster session at leicester via the university, and my 2nd was my at local equestrian center in my village, both of which went well (i think) and yes i did enjoy them :)

There will be :), there are masses of members of this forum, but some aren't here so often. If you stay and chat, go on other threads and join in, ask questions etc, in time you'll find others in your neck of the woods.
