And I'm awake as she just woke up and pooed inside again!! It's just me here at the moment, I fed her at 4pm, had a late walk and she even had a poo around 8pm. I really need to break this habit 😩

They are. She's had a history of poor faeces but that has pretty much been resolved for the last few months do they are surprisingly good.
If she made a noise I'd get up and let her out but I don't know until she's gone!
Maybe I should try getting up before she does but then I don't want to encourage her to wake up during the night.
I will add though, I didn't go and sit with her when she did wake, I went back to bed and spent about 40mins shushing her from upstairs and she went back to sleep so I got a bit more sleep before my alarm went off AND once I did get up and feed her, she curled back up on the sofa and snoozed whilst I got ready instead of barking her head off like she normally does so I will take that small win!

Just popping in to give a tentative update...since the weekend we decided to change her dry food as she hadn't been eating the old one (trying to stick it out to not make her fussy!) and since the change, and feeding earlier and other tips from here, she has had one overnight accident - about 1am, which was very poor faeces so was probably something dodgy she'd eaten in the day - and *fingers crossed* nothing else. Plus she has slowly been waking up later and this morning I was up before her 🥳 although it was still at 5:45 as I was up for work. I think she may have been hungry?!
There were a few barking incidences but she did settle down without someone going down, just talking to her from upstairs. She does however still get a cuddle on the sofa but only after she's got up, had breakfast and been to the toilet! Not perfect yet but the change already is definitely going in the right direction.

Brilliant. Thanks for the update.

Clover has slept completely through the night, 10-5:30ish for the last two nights 🥳 definitely something to celebrate!
Now if only I can get a handle on the barking when we leave the house....

Well done! I must admit i dont really get the 'dont want to make them fussy' approach. Our yellow Lab really struggled to eat what we were giving her, including human food until I bought a selection of small bags of kibble and let her choose. We went with her favourite for everybody. That proved to be hormones related and she has been easy to feed since being spayed.

Have you tried giving her a stuffed Kong immediately before leaving the house? She is likely to concentrate on that, rather than worrying about being left on her own.

Thank you!

Yes tried with a stuffed kong, she will attempt it then stop when she realises we're gone. She loves a kong normally though so we hoped that would help!

I know CC has mentioned a crate a good few times now but have you ever actually used 1.? It probably would have solved every issue you are having lol 😆 but if not........
Is she ever alone when you are in the house or is she always with you on sofa, following you to the bog lol, or does she stay alone in a room happily with you out of sight ?

Yes we have had a crate and it didn't solve the issue...
Yes she is fine alone in the house, she's not allowed upstairs so we often leave her alone. She knows we're upstairs though so it doesn't bother her. At night we close the doors so she only has the living room as her "bedroom"

" had a crate" I personally would not have removed that so early given she is still a baby . She can obs be left alone so it's just about your routine?
Can she see you leave the house?
Does she has free roam of the house?
