Looking for Yard - South West

Hi All... I am looking to move down to the South West area - around the Salisbury to Devizes area - around about an hour to hour and half south of Swindon (its a big area I know, but its for work and I haven't decided where to live yet!!)

I'll need to find a livery yard for my horse - preferably DIY but also offers full livery on occasions that I can't get up to him. He will definately need year round turn out - he is part retired as intermittenly lame, so when he is lame, he'll need to be turned out every day for a large proportion of the day as he becomes disgustingly behaved when kept in. If (big If) he can stay sound, it'll also need good facilities and nice hacking! Not asking for much I know (!!!)

Any suggestions for good yards welcome!

Not able to help much.. but you could start with http://www.westwilts-ec.co.uk/ - an all round equestrian centre who do take liveries, and are about and hour from Swindon ( between Melksham and Holt)

The Countrywide shop in Melksham could probabaly help with recommendations.

Hi

I am on a yard just outside Melksham, 20 mins from M4 jun 17.

Its a DIY yard, lovely big stone stables, all year turn out. 20x40 arena. All the usuals. Nice place, very relaxed.

There are quiet a few yards round here so you have a good choice.

Maggie Doel is also just up the road, i am sure she has a website. I know she does DIY. She is just outside Lacock.

patchyponies you must be a stones throw from us!!! we use Maggie for lessons and via pc..we are a bit pushed for space but I can ask and see..we have turnout all year and school not bad hacking as well
