I have a lovely, loyal and very energetc springer spaniel dog. He is four years old, very fit and healthy. He is liver and white, handsome, and from working stock- although he has not been trained to the gun. Needs plenty of exercise and attention. Very good with children. KC registered and micro chipped. Due to a divorce i am tentatively looking for the right home for him. Will need lots of exercise and space to run. A much loved companion so I will vet thoroughly anyone that may be interested. Sorry to hear about having to rehome your springer, but please consider re-homing through a rescue as he will have back up from the rescue, and any new homes will be checked throughly

I don`t want to scare you but their are a lot of people posing as loving homes that use spaniels for bate dogs.

The owners were very impressed with the vetting procedure - they checked out a few rescue places and found it varied quite a bit. They felt that this rescue place really tried to match them with a dog which would be suitable for them ( and that they were suited to rehoming a springer, of course).

It's quite a way from you, though - although the dog I know originally came to them from Devon, I think.
 
Echo what everyone has said about getting a breed rescue to rehome. They will vet the new home and keep track of him. Also if things go wrong they will take him back and rehome him again. I know of someone who has dealt with the English Springer Spaniel Rescue people in England and were impressed with the process.
 
A lovely lady I know is looking for a springer as a companion for her lab - we're in Surrey but will talk to her tomorrow and try and get you in touch with each other!
