Im been thinking of this for a while now and today I find paperwork with her old address on which is years old. I lostd contract with her after she moved and think she spilt from parnter at the same time so now I don't have any details for her! Its just a shame as he has changed so much over the years of me owning him it would be nice to see her and to see how shockd she will be seeing the huge difference in him!

Or maybe not such a good idea as it might bring up the pastd for him as it wasnt a nice one for him and I don't want him going backwards. So has anyone made contact with their old owners with good results or bad???

As I have always known the background of my horses, and known their owners for some years before buying from them, this has only happened to me once.

I bought a 5 yr old Sec D from a girl who told me she'd had her for 12 months and was selling her to fund her wedding. The horse had obviously only just been broken when I tried her, and a couple of things sounded dodgy, but I felt sorry for the horse (who was in very bad condition) and liked her, so bought her and had her delivered the same day.

As she was registered, I got a 'phone number for the owner and called her straight away. The first thing she told me was that she was surprised to hear from me as she had only sold the horse 4 weeks before, and did I know that she might be in foal?!!!

I got in touch with my horse's previous owner and we emailed for quite some time, i learnt a lot about his past (like injuries, habits, competition history) none of which i knew. I think the more you know, the better. Good luck trying to find the previous owner although it sounds like it could be tricky.

Did it once and she wanted to buy him back! Said she regretted selling him. Nearly did send him back to her when I was going off to uni but someone told me not to as she'd struggled with him, hence the sale. He's retired now and still with us.

yes i contact both of my horses older owners and my lad said he was the best horse she ever owned and regretted selling him. and my mares just said they had used her as a broodmare (hence why she is a tart lol)

This is a photo when his old owner had him at a college someone else riding him Im hoping that someone might recogions him or rider? This is a good poss 12 years ago a big hope i know
