After spending nigh on £200 on various blood tests to get to the bottom of why Benj was swelling up so much and then swelling up again at the beginning of the week, I stopped his carrots and lo and behold.......normal size sheath this morning!!
Glad I seem to have got to the bottom of it!!! At last!

Oh good news, how strange though - he must be a very sensitive boy

It is strang. I always fed him carrots, and I haven't been shy about doing so, but seems far too much of a coincidence for it not to be

He is strangely sensitive to some things, and didn't get nick named Bonehead by his last owner for nothing!

Hmmmmm. If he has always had carrots before with no problem, it might NOT be the carrots. Coincidences can be funny things but it might just have been ready to clear up anyway. Are you brave enough to try a few carrots again to see what happens? It would be fairly definitive if his sheath came up like a barrage balloon again!
