This eve: Dressage with the Blob/Cob

SAT: Prob begging MH's Dad to repair my bodged DIY ramp job, whilst I paint the doors and generally tidy the horse area.

SUN: Easton College BD with MH and the Fitzenburger.

MON: Westerfield show -MH is taking some work horses and dep on Cob's behaviour this eve, he may get a little trip out too.

TUES: Poss taking MH for a lesson with a legend of a dressage trainer....just waiting to hear back if we are in or not ;)

ENJOY! :)

FMC xx

Going home!!!!!!!!!!! (excessive exclamation marks will abound in this post, please do not judge me :D)

I have my last exam finishing at half 11 today and then much celebrations. Tomorrow I am going home for the weekend to be the unpaid groom :D Can't wait, love love love being at home and love helping at comps so it's all round win! :D :D

Reg is going Trailblazers on Saturday to try and be an SJ pony. Al is dressing as eventer-like as possible so everyone knows of his pole-bashing tendencies :D

Sunday is a bigger local showing show with some qualifiers for the TARRA finals at Equifest and things. I am very excited about sewing in his plaits. Which says something about me more than anything :D

Squeeee!!! So excited. Just ignoring the disaster of an exam that's looming!

Lolo - good luck with your exam! Now get on with your revision and get off HHO :p

Tonight - XC schooling with Baydale shouting at me lots and worried ginger pony hopefully going over the jumps rather than gawping at them from 30 feet away :D

Saturday - flatwork lesson, trying to persuade worried ginger pony that he actually can use that big bottom of his for things other than the processing of copious amounts of grass. Then turning said pony out with a muzzle on for the first time ever. Retrieving muzzle from various places where he's managed to hook it off and putting it back on him.

Sunday - short schooling to revise Saturday's work, then hack.

Monday - Keysoe hunter trial 90cm.

Tuesday - Day of rest :p

Have a great long weekend and good luck to everyone competing!

Come on FMC... Spill!!!!

Good luck tonight!

Tonight is our demo with Andrew Murphy and Mr W, so busy day getting everything ready!

After last weekend's camp it is a Really quiet one... Mr W, Mini W and me are going to have a day off no horses involved!!!! :D

No long weekend for us as busiest time of year at work :(

Tonight going XC schooling, tomorrow night bathing B's little pony for showing classes on Saturday at JenniferB's show. A is also taking Saffy for the 1.15 members cup and Fox qualifier. Sunday pony club rally and back to work Monday!

Good luck to all out competing :)

Tonight - probably take Dulcie in the school for half and hour or so - I try to keep schooling sessions short, but the last time I rode her on Tues she was a little (17hh) madam and I ended up keeping her in the school for well over an hour until she started to behave herself! lol

Friday - No plans. Always nice when that happens!

Saturday - Moving to a new yard! Only down the road, and one which I have been on previously (Long story, and I am sure you don't want to hear it...plus, never good to air dirty laundry in public! lol). Hope to get up there by lunch time, and if possible, I would like to turn her out as soon as possible (Individual turn out!). All being well, if she is settling ok, I might lunge her in the evening, so she can check out the new school without a rider to begin with! The rest of the day will be spent ferrying the tonnes of stuff I have acquired over the years, making up her stable and organising!

Sunday - Lesson, to try and counteract said 'little madam' type behaviour! I was having regular weekly lessons with Dulcie until I went to Active Rider Camp in April, and all was going well. But a stupid fall at camp (totally MY fault) meant that I have had to take a little while off riding to allow my coccyx time to heal :( Hopefully starting lessons again will get us back on track. She is only 6 so I'm not too concerned by her 'I'm going to spit my dummy out' behaviour! lol

Monday - Treasure Hunt!!! Not on horseback I might add! Our village has arranged a Jubilee Treasure hunt so we are going to have a go with two other couples. Pony might have a day off, depending on how well she behaves on Sunday!

Tuesday - Would be nice to pencil in a hack. Depends on weather really. I had thought of going to the local farm ride, but I tend to avoid on bank holidays as it can be a free-for-all!!

Wednesday - Work - boo hiss!!

Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun - Bramham Horse Trials!!! Woohooo!!! I have a press pass working for my local county magazine, so photos galore! Hope the weather is good as we are camping with friends and it is always a blast!

Good luck with your exam Lolo!

I'm heading out for a flatwork lesson on Saturday and then got RC Party In the Park on Sunday - having a SJ lesson and going for a nice group hack around the estate.

No plans for Monday but Tuesday is probably going to be a day at the cinema with friends!

Have a good one everyone!

Saturday - pole work and then if its dry, finish painting the partitions and back gates on the lorry a few other little jobs.

Sunday - More little jobs on the lorry and they walk the course for Monday, back to scrub pony and clean tack

Monday - Little Downham BE90 with the new mare we bought in February :) This is our first BE event with her and only her 2nd event, her being a failed showjumper (was stopping in 1.30 classes) we are hoping she won't have the pole bashing tendencies of the old boy!
When we get back I will then scrub myself up and join the village party which is basically a big BBQ in a field but we are having fireworks and lighting a beacon at 10pm so for our tiny little village its a big thing :D

Tuesday - recovering - see above

Then I have my first whole week off since I started this job in February of last year and I can't wait :) I am only going to be decorating and gardening but it will be nice to have the time to get on top of things ( and with play ponies of course!)

Not going out this weekend...got to get out in my jungle of a garden and I have training next weekend, show the week after, then a weekend away and then 2 shows within 4 days (after last weekends 'disaster of sorts' I am chucking everything baby hosses way :p)

Exam tonight first and nothing is sinking in and I keep getting distracted by HHO and Facebook

Hope everyone has a fab weekend though, can't wait to hear reports of everyone's adventures x

Saturday - off to Herts County Show
Sunday - have tickets for the Diamond Jubilee River Thames Pageant in Battersea Park
Mon-Wed - a little break in Somerset on the Quantock Hills

I'm desperately hoping that the drugs kick in for my poorly pony because on Saturday we are scheduled to go to Anna Ross Davis who will be doing my music and floorplan (won the Cairo farrier auction for that), will be gutted if we don't make it.

Then on Monday going to see Coldplay at Emirates Stadium.

LB is XC schooling with the PC at Berwick Farm on Saturday so I'm going to see how she copes with a new venue .
I'm going to a Jubilee BBQ with non-horsey friends on Sunday while Rosie (and anyone she can persuade to help) bath and polish several horses and their tack for Little Downham on Monday and Tuesday. LB's first proper event on Monday, she's as ready as she'll ever be but I'm a bit nervous.

Tonight - off to fill the lorry up with diesel and sort everything out ready for tomorrow !

Friday - Hickstead for Dressage (booo) taking the 4yo to Badminton Young Horse Qualifier

Saturday - Jumping 5yo at home then iam off to watch the OH in a boxing match (havent been together that long so its my first time)

Sunday - Felbridge for 1.05 and Newcomers

Monday - Lou Pavitt birthday off for drinkies in Brighton !!

Tuesday - Royal Leisure (trying to get all my Newcomer double clears in the first week of June !!)

Then back at work for 2 days before another 3 days of shows !!! Busy Busy bumble bee !!!

A fairly un horsey one for me. The lanky lump is pretty much off games at the mo as his saddle doesnt fit so im just pottering about bareback.
Sat im going to try and do some work on my lorry, the water container needs to be fitted under the tack locker and plumbed in for the sink and a few other bits that i (well oh :D) need to do. Or i might do nothing, i'll see how i feel when i wake up :D
Sun im off to Stonner Park with the oh for a VW show, wish me luck as the Queen is apparently in Henley that day so we might end up sitting in traffic for most of the day.
Mon im going to watch some of my friends at MK 3 day.
Tues the physio is coming for the lanky one so i will potter about up the yard for the day knowing me.
Good luck to everyone competing :)

I have a vary varied 4 days ahead.
Sat- Nothing
Sun - nowt
Mon - sod all
Tues - jack.
:(:(:(

:D:D:D This made me laugh. Still plenty of time to organise something though, no?

I'm not going to post on here as each time that I do that I end up not going. That said, we might be having a report to write after Sunday and I may have some photos of Cruise to show peeps :D. Then I might be asking for help with writing an advert for the pony :(:(

I too am like FMC and suddenly have the urge to dress my house with bunting, not sure if it is because I now live opposite the village green ;):)

Oh lordy is she? Will steer clear! My parents live right by Stonor park. If you want to know another way in (ie not via Henley) just PM me :)

I'm aiming to go for nice long hack sat, prob school him sun am as at jubilee party in the afternoon, monday quiet day, then all being well Tuesday we are oing to local EC's Jubilee Show, just a dressage test and a team 85cm class for Roo, and a dressage test with sharer and his first veterans showing class for J!

oooh lots of exciting plans on here!

I have very little planned for this long weekend - saving it all for next week!

Lesson on Bank Hol Tues at home is about the sum of it!

Oh god, what is Queenie doing in Henley?! Can we ask her to have her Jubilee tea party in one of her many palaces and not cause our town to come to a grinding halt :D

Patriotic, moi?!

I never get to post in this thread but I've actually got something planned this weekend - yay!

Have been set up a lesson with Bertil Voss, this will be my first 'proper' dressage lesson in a long time and first time with my carrot coloured horse so rather looking forward to it, sounds like a good chance to put all our regular training into action and maybe add a few new ideas. :)

(might even be a bit of 'matchy matchy' going on :) )

Saturday - inter hunt relay changeover practice
Sunday- schooling then Worfestock (our village party :) )
Monday - work all day then hack
Tuesday - Ruth Edge dressage lesson at Prescott then off to a Sreet party for the jubilee :)
Wednesday - Stafford County Show Inter Hunt Relay

I am dressing my horse up as an elephant....

My daughter is doing fancy dress on him at a local show. Followed by ponyclub games (on her pony, but she would probably be safer on my horse, TBH!). Then quick change and she is doing fun dog show classes at our village gala day.

On Sunday I am packing her off with granny and going SJ training. Hope to work on actually sitting up and looking where I am going.
