Just a quick Louis update
smile.gif
He was a little super star on the weekend and Rachelskeff and I are thrilled to bits with him! He's been doing so well having qualified so quickly for the elementary regionals and area festival so we thought we'd have a bit of a play at some medium at Patchetts. He's not 100% perfect in the canter half passes yet so we just went H/C just to get some general feedback on his progress. Anyway they did the elementary first and came 1st with 66.89% (yey!) and then on to the medium where we were hoping for a score of around 57-58% as his first time. Well he was so so super and worked his little orange socks off and they got just under 62% and would have come 3rd
grin.gif
I know it's not a massive score but for a horse not yet totally established medium yet and just having started elementary a few months ago we are over-the-moon with him
grin.gif
Can't stop smilling! We're going to continue H/C for a little while until everything is 100% established and then hopefully make his proper medium debut sometime very soon.

He was such a sweetie and gave Rachelskeff such a lovely ride. Anyway I'm so proud of them both...can't wait until baby is born and I can hop on myself!

Just a few piccies of the orange (and hairy!) loop-monster:

He looks absolutely fantastic... No wonder you can't wait to get back on him! Although I don't know whether Rachelskeff is going to want to give him back. She might run away to Bornio with him
laugh.gif
I know I would

Thanks severnmiles and BB's

He loves me so much more now that all I do is come up to the yard to give him treats....evil auntie Rachel is the one that makes him do all that horrible hard work now

I love his bling, it really suits him!!

Well done again, they are doing so well together, you must be thrilled!

When are you 'due' hun? x

Thanks, I like his ickle bit of bling...I think it makes him look smexy
grin.gif

I am thrilled with how they are doing, I'm so pleased that I made the decision to keep him working and competing whilst I have a "bun-in-the-oven" as he's continued progressing so much and it would have been a shame to hold him back. I've been so lucky him and Rach have really "clicked" as he's quite sensitive to his rider and only really performs and relaxes when he's happy...I think he knows how much auntie Rachel loves him
grin.gif

I am due around Feb 17th...can't wait! I love bubs already and I know already he/she is a dressage rider in the making...the kicking is so intense that he/she must have very strong ickle legs, perfect for dressage!
grin.gif
I can't wait to ride again though, really missed it but it's all worth it to have a bubs
grin.gif

How's your two?

I can't believe you are due in just 4 months... it seems to have flown by already!

I think it is great that you have been able to keep him working and competing, like you said he has come on with Rachel and I think they have formed a really successful partnership which must be lovely to watch.

How old is he by the way? And how big is he? Some times he looks huge, and then others he looks about 15.3hh
laugh.gif

My two are good thank you! Bloss is mega hairy now
frown.gif
But still enjoying being ridden which is nice!

Archie is at 'boot camp' this week (hes staying at Andrews for a week). Hes learning posh things like changes and halfpass. Our Medium debut is iminent if all goes to plan!!

I know, I can't believe I'm nearly 6months preggers

Yeah i'm so pleased with how they are getting on, just before I stopped riding he was heading towards medium and it would have been a shame to stop him progressing just because I can't ride for a few months. Rachel is really doing well with him and I can't wait to get back on myself and continue his progress.

Loops is now 15 and he's about 15.3/16hh. He's only a wee little compact man but he's a little powerhouse. He carries himself really nicely and is quite muscled up at the mo so does look a little bigger
grin.gif
He thinks he's about 18hh though
